About me

Currently, I am employed as a post-doctoral research fellow at the Swarmlab, Maastricht University (UM), Maastricht, The Netherlands. My research focuses on bio-inspired optimization techniques. Currently, my focus is on bio-mimicry in swarm robotics.

During 2008-2010, I worked as a PhD. candidate on a 3-year research grant by tUL. The research was done at the MICC/RAI group, Maastricht University, The Netherlands. The research focused on hybrid bio-inspired optimization techniques and application of such techniques in real-world domains such as Mobile Ad-hoc Networks.
During 2007, I worked as a PhD. candidate on a 1-year research grant by the FWO. The research was done at the Computational Modeling Lab (COMO), Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium. The research focused on alternative bio-inspired optimization techniques.
